Prices of meals are expensive too in Brazil

The average cost of a meal in a restaurant in Brazil was R$ 27.40 last year (about 13 U$D). In São Paulo, the average was R$ 30.71 per meal(about 15 U$D), 12.1% higher than the national level, according to a survey published in the newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo by Assert (Associação das Empresas de Refeição e Alimentação Convênio para o Trabalhador), in São Paulo.

The increase in food prices is a major factor responsible for lifting the overall rate of inflation in the country, which reached 5.84%. Among the causes for the high prices are climate problems and variations in spending of these restaurants with rent, employee salaries and taxes.

The highest average price found by the survey was in Diadema, in Greater São Paulo, R$ 37.41. The lowest was in Fortaleza, R$ 21.18. Follow the order, the Southeast (R$ 29.85), Midwest (R$ 26.85), South (R$ 26.55) and Northeast (R$ 23.74).

Imagine you work, and you have to eat out everyday, it makes your life a little bit complicated.
