British evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins, outspoken atheist, published a photo with his bruised face into his Twitter account and the official website of his foundation explaining that had fallen on the way to the plane from Sao Paulo to Los Angeles late last weeks Thursday. He was in Brazil to hold two lectures in São Paulo and Porto Alegre.
“My glasses must have cut me,” wrote the author of books like “The Selfish Gene” and “The God Delusion”. Soon after the fall, Dawkins narrated that a doctor going to the same destination suggested he would need stitches. The crew then warned that he should not travel and he was referred to a hospital, where he was met. He received five stitches.
“I was impressed as there was very little wait. My British experience prepared me for long hours in the emergency,” praised one of the world’s leading scientists in the study of evolution, not specifying which hospital in Sao Paulo he was taken.
