In an article published on Yahoo, Michael Page Consultancy in Brazil has listed 11 of the most requested positions of industry professionals in the three phases of the Oil and Gas chain: exploration, drilling and production.
1 – Geologists
With a background in geology, this professional will study the characteristics of the area potentially exploitable.
Starting Salary: R$ 6-8 thousand.
2 – Geophysicists
They are professionals with training in geology and geophysical expertise.
Starting salary: R$ 8.000 to 12.000.
3 – Petrophysicists
Professionals specializing in petrophysics geology.
Starting salary: R$ 8-12 thousand.
4 – Drilling Engineers
The professional may have graduate in oil, but is usually a person who has gained experience working for service providers to the oil and gas industry.

5 – Drilling Managers
The Technical training is the same as of the drilling engineer, what differentiates them is the management function.
