Chinese soccer player to join one of the biggest soccer clubs of Brazil

The president of Corinthians, a soccer club in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Mario Gobbi, published a letter in the club’s official website to highlight the impact of the arrival of the Chinese player Chen Zhizhao this week. The goal is “to establish a partnership with China profound and lasting.”

To this end, the Corinthians club plans to create in the future the Corinthians-China, as it did recently in Argentina, when it launched the Corinthians-Santa Fe, to help manage the argentinian club revelations and import Argentine atlhetes.

“He received a warm welcome the decision of the Corinthians to move closer to China, whose first step is realized with the arrival of Zizao. There are plenty of praise ‘marketing ploy’ that this initiative represented. However, what we seek is more than fifteen minutes of fame. The Corinthians are actually taking the first step of a long journey, as called for Chairman Mao, “Gobbi wrote.

According to a spokesperson for the club, there have been frequent contacts of Chinese journalists seeking information about the attacking midfielder of 23 years old. In the Corinthian site, fans can participate in a poll to set the player’s last name: Zizao, Zizão, Chen and Cheng.

Corinthians will establish a partnership with China profound and lasting, without the immediate concern with financial results, unlike going to the clubs sister country in search of easy profit, Corinthians wants to be part of overcoming an unacceptable paradox: as a nation with the largest population in the world can be so nascent in the most popular sport in the world?

To this end, we will transfer our centennial technology, including selection, training, medical support physiological, tactical positioning, marketing etc. We will send trainers to China and receive young talent to improve here. Let’s open schools there and train physical education teachers, we have the Corinthians-China, similar to what we have in Argentina, with Corinthians – Santa Fe

Last December, we received the visit of Secretary of Sports of Guangdong Province, who established the guidelines of our association. Soon, a mission of the Corinthians will go to China, to proceed with these negotiations. Corinthians is assuming its rightful position at the forefront of Brazilian football.
