New trend among brazilians, UFC is a huge success in the country

The number of pay-per-views that were sold by the Combate channel for the Anderson Silva fight last Saturday was a record: about 150,000. That is, the channel only that night earned 7.5 million dollars from the fight. The previous record was held by the Anderson himself when he fought against Vitor Belfort in 2011: 105,000 pay-per-views.

Anderson fought Chael Sonnen, and it was more like a revenge, since they last fought a few years ago. Anderson also wanted to get back his respect, and he had the whole country with him: Sonnen supposedly had talked bad about Silva and his country.
